Adults with long term health issues


Seated Pilates classes for people with long term conditions -This weekly class is suitable for all levels of fitness, 3.30pm to 4.30pm at the Health and Wellbeing Zone at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre, Lower Earley

Mat based Pilates for Long Term Conditions - 4.30pm to 5.30pm, an eight week course starting on Monday 12 May 2014, in the Health and Wellbeing Zone, Loddon Valley Leisure Centre, Lower Earley

Yoga course for people with long term conditions - This weekly class is suitable for all levels of ability and consists of exercises which can be done either seated or on the mat.  Thursdays, 12.15pm to 1.15pm at St Crispin's Leisure Centre, Wokingham.

Tai Chi class for people with long term health conditions - 1.30pm to 2.30pm, every Wednesday at the Health and
Wellbeing Zone, Loddon Valley Leisure Centre, Lower Earley.

Costs: All classes cost £2.50 a class or £22.50 for ten classes

S.H.I.N.E - Physical Activity Programme for Older People


The S.H.I.N.E (Some Health Improvements Need Exercise) Programme was launched in March 2009 and is a Physical Activity Programme for the over 50's of the Wokingham Borough.

S.H.I.N.E is a fun programme of sports and physical activity for older people. The sessions are a chance to socialise, meet new people and get fit and active.
Some of the classes include:
  • Aquacise 
  • Archery
  • Gym and Swim 
  • Stretch and Relax
  • Movement to Music 
  • Seated Exercise to Music 
  • Steady Steps: Fall prevention exercises 
  • Pilates
  • Tai Chi
